Who we are

Founded in 2019 in Toronto, Phaseshift Technologies is an advanced materials company dedicated to accelerating the development and adoption of new materials critical to a sustainable future.

 

Our team consists of scientists and engineers with over two decades of experience in computational materials science and advanced materials. Backed by venture capital firms that have previously supported globally impactful companies, we are well-equipped to drive innovation. We also collaborate with a network of technical partners who provide cross-domain expertise and state-of-the-art equipment for detailed experimental analysis.

Team

Fazal manages daily operations and oversees the company’s strategic direction. He has a background in computing, physics, and machine learning, and has led AI development at two early-stage startups.

Gurjot manages the company’s technology infrastructure and oversees the research and development of our MatterMind™ platform. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto in Computational Materials Science with cross-domain experience in Machine Learning and Materials Science

Chief Technology Officer

Abu guides the research and development of our Cascade™ simulations platform. He holds a PhD from the University of Toronto in Computational Materials Science and expertise in Multi-scale Simulation and Integrated Computational Materials Engineering.
Abu Anand
Chief Science Officer

Zhen is responsible for developing mesoscale and macroscale components of our Cascade™ simulations. He holds a PhD from the McMaster University in Phase-Field and Finite Element Methods, which are applied to the modelling additive manufacturing of metals.

Computational Materials Engineer

Osazee conducts research and develops new machine learning and optimization algorithms for our MatterMind™ toolbox. He holds a PhD from the University of Waterloo, where he specialized in in-situ monitoring and process control using machine learning in metal additive manufacturing.
